Congratulations Winston Heights Public School
Aptus had the pleasure of sponsoring the Mile Sterjovski Shield, which was held at Ted Horwood Reserve, 18th August.
The day couldn’t have been more spectacular, and for what was suppose to be a winters day, felt very much like spring. It was a brilliant day for five of the local primary schools to get together for a few games of soccer.
Aptus was lucky enough to get down to the fields to watch the final games with 4 teams battling it out for 1st, 2nd & 3rd. All teams showed respect to the referees who had volunteered their time, and sportsmanship to the opposition, however, there could only be 1 school to take away the shield.
Both finals were exciting to watch – the fight for 3rd place won in the dying seconds with a goal from Cherrybrook Public School. It was the game next to them that was the decider for the overall winner. Where both Winston Hills Public and Pennant Hills Public played with everything they had. (Or everything they had left after a big day of soccer!)
Congratulations to Winston Heights Public School on their win for the Mile Sterjovski Shield!
And well done to Mile and school staff for putting together a well organised day.
