Bringing a wealth of experience to our practice, Rebecca is quick to action matters and her results-orientated attitude helps to cultivate strong relationships between staff and clients.

As a mentor and leader at Aptus, Rebecca uses her extensive knowledge in guiding and training our team, to ensure that Aptus sets the benchmark across all our services.

James Solomons
Partner and Co-Founder

As both Co-Founder of Aptus, and the Head of Accounting at Xero, James is a passionate accountant, thought leader and advocate for the industry. He is an expert in leveraging the power of technology and the cloud to deliver real results.

James has over 17 years’ experience in public practice and has specific expertise in business structuring, asset protection, succession planning, cloud solutions and internal systems & controls.

James fulfils many other roles, including mentor, lecturer and industry partner at Macquarie University; business and content mentor at corporate start-up accelerator Slingshot, and has been actively involved in the community for much of his professional career, providing support for several local charities and community groups.

His varied portfolio of roles give him a unique perspective on the direction of the accounting industry and allows him to provide an effective strategic thinking process to all of the roles and businesses he is involved with. As an advocate & supporter of accountants and small businesses globally, he comments frequently on issues affecting the industry on his blog at

Simone Murad
Senior Manager

Simone has over 12 years of experience in the accounting and financial services industry, bringing with her a wealth of experience in business and tax advisory, financial planning, superannuation and retirement planning, risk management and wealth management.

She is an Authorised Representative of Count Financial, and member of the Institute of Public Accountants and a provisional member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for Australia and New Zealand.

Simone’s commitment to client outcomes and excellent communication has ensured she has quickly developed strong relationships with our clients.  She prides herself by setting high standards to achieve quality results for our clients.

Adam Galea
Senior Manager

Adam joined the team at Aptus Accounting Advisory in 2017 with over 10 years experience in the accounting & finance industry. He is well regarded as a team player, passing on his knowledge to clients and staff, and is known for his sense of humour. Adam assists a variety of clients Australia wide on work ranging from business advisory and business setups, to advice concerning fringe benefits tax and capital gains tax.

In 2010, Adam completed his Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Western Sydney. Adam has also completed the Chartered Accountants (CA) program in 2013 and is currently completing his Certificate of Public Practice. As a balance to his studies and hard work at the firm, Adam enjoys playing and coaching soccer.

Susan Stenz
Accountant & SMSF Taxation Specialist

With more than 25 years’ experience and in-depth knowledge of the complex self-managed superannuation regime, Susan is a valued asset at Aptus. Susan is known for her dependability, dedication and ability to troubleshoot even the most obtuse problems, resulting in workable and compliant solutions for her clients.

Susan holds a Degree in Financial Planning from Monash University and adds to her extensive industry knowledge through continued education.

In her spare time Susan coaches her daughter’s soccer team and is an active member the school committees for both of her girls.

Jessica Kissane
Client Service Coordinator

Jess is our Client Service Coordinator she started in our company in 2018 and brought with her knowledge from her 10 years’ experience in the superannuation and financial services industry. She has completed a Degree in Economics and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning.

Jess is passionate about providing excellent ongoing support to our clients and is always willing to assist with your financial planning needs.

Yadanar Guz
Graduate Accountant

Yadanar is our newest recruit at Aptus. She has graduated from University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Business/Commerce majoring in Accounting. She also brings with her years of customer service experience.

Yadanar is keen to path her way in the world of accounting and assist with client needs.

Elizabeth Seale
Client Services Coordinator

Liz has commenced with Aptus last year. She brings with her 11 years’ experience within office administration roles, with 9 of those being in the chartered accounting industry. When you phone or drop by the office, Liz will be the friendly face to greet you and assist you with all your needs.

Liz enjoys utilising her years of varied experience to provide excellent customer service, improve process and ensure the office is running smoothly.
